Yes — the Blue Lagoon operates in all weather conditions and is, by many accounts, better in rain and overcast conditions when steam is more visible and crowds are smaller. The geothermal water holds at approximately 37–39°C regardless of air temperature.

The more relevant question is whether it is open at all. Since 2021 the Reykjanes Peninsula has entered a new eruptive phase — the Blue Lagoon has temporarily closed multiple times due to proximity to the active Svartsengi volcanic system. Before travelling south from Reykjavík, always check bluelagoon.is for current operational status and almannavarnir.is for road access and eruption alerts. The facility is approximately 50 kilometres from Reykjavík and requires advance booking in any season.
